Things to do in Hamnøy
Hamnøy is a small fishing hamlet on Moskenesøya, its rorbuer built directly against a steep rock wall at the water's edge — an image that has become one of the most recognisable of the Lofoten islands.
The view is usually taken from the bridge connecting Hamnøy to the E10, looking back across the water at the row of red cabins and the peaks behind them. Away from that one vantage point, Hamnøy is little more than a handful of buildings, with Reine and Sakrisøy close by along the same road.
The setting is exposed to the weather that moves through this part of the coast, and the light changes quickly through the day.
